Land Rover Defender Automatic gearbox conversions.

More and more vehicles nowadays have automatic gearboxes and so some drivers are finding that Land Rover Defender's with manual gearboxes are a bit dificult to change gear and also find the sometimes heavy clutch pedal tiring to operate..

The conversions use a fully reconditioned and well proven ZF autobox as was used in the P38 Range Rovers and the Series 2 Discovery’s. 

Automatic conversions are available for the TDCI Puma Defender's as well as TD5 , 300TDI and V8 Land Rover's.

The autobox is mounted onto the original transfer box which remains in the same original position so allowing high low and diff lock etc to work as normal and the propshafts remain standard items so are easy to replace in future .. 

The conversion uses a very high standard of enginering and keeps as near to Factory spec/look as possible in the cabin.
