Here for sale on behalf of its owner is a 1983 Range Rover Classic Commercial.

A rare vehcle which was sold originally to the Metropolitan Police  in London .

This Range Rover was  factory painted in the Russet Brown colour as seen on the pictures by Land Rover and  this is verified by a Heritage certificate from The british Motor Industry Heritage Trust .

It was sold through an auction in 1998 by the Met Police  and the miles at that time were 36,183. and we have the entry form for this sale .

The vehicle comes with a large folder of  receipts , old MOt's , etc .

We have been in touch with James Taylor  who is one of the main writers for Land Rover Owner Magazine  who is very keen on unusual Land Rover vehcles and he is carrying out some resaerch as to what it was used for , initially he thinks it may have been something to do with one of the "Cold War " bunkers near London .

The current owner has spent a lot of money recently on new wheels , tyres, etc as well as other items and he has just spent £1,000 with us .

The Range Rover is in need of some welding repairs in order to get an MOT and as he has other projects he has decided to put it up for sale .
